Kézműves Háziszappan (Handmade Homemade Soap) laundry shavings – lavender, 500 g

A washing soap powder made from handmade household soap from Orosháza: soap boiled in the traditional way, grated. It contains no additives, preservatives or colourants, is free of chlorine and phosphates, and is biodegradable. Its scent comes from a lavender fragrance blend.

Can be used for both hand and machine washing. Since it is a soap-based detergent, it is worth knowing: with soft or moderately hard water the soap powder washes well on its own, but where the water is very hard, it is always worth adding washing soda as well – otherwise the soap can form a film with the calcium in the water.

Usage and dosage:

Option 1: put an amount the size of 2 walnuts into the leg of a stocking (or a sock) and place it among the clothes. Use at a minimum of 40 °C, for coloured and white laundry alike, in both conventional and automatic washing machines. Approx. 50 g of powder is recommended for one wash.
Option 2: dose 2 heaped tablespoons of washing soda and 1 heaped tablespoon of grated laundry soap. For washes below 40 °C, it is advisable to dissolve these in warm water first.
We suggest vinegar for rinsing, and laundry perfume or essential oil for fragrance.
Tip: in hard water, dissolve the washing soda in hot water, then add the soap flakes, and put this liquid into the machine. The harder the tap water, the more washing soda is needed – it is worth experimenting to find the right ratio.

Storage:

Store protected from moisture, in a dry, cool place. The year and month of manufacture are found on the packaging; it retains its quality for 2 years.
